Historic Country House, Dorset

Restoration and modernisation of a significant c.1710 Baroque Grade I Listed Historic Country House.

Alterations to the main house included installation of a steel framed lift shaft, new dry-wells to the building perimeter, strengthening the staircases and timber floors, and repairing fallen window arches. We produced reports and drawings for Listed Building Consent Applications and Construction.

Our remit also covered drainage design, where we provided a new foul water drainage system for the house and estate cottages with a sewage treatment plant and drainage field, receiving consent from the Environment Agency.

Further works on the estate included design for a steel framed biomass barn, a pool pavilion, subterranean plant room and a garaging complex.
