/ New Project – Berth 2 in Portsmouth

/ 08 August 2019

We are very excited to announce that Marbas has recently been appointed on the alterations and extension to Berth 2 within Portsmouth International Ports. The proposed scheme is to reduce the level of the existing berth to facilitate a wider range of vessel access and to extend the quay 40 metres seaward over an existing dolphin to allow new cruise liners to dock.  A new mooring dolphin will be constructed 30 metres off of the quay to complete the facility for vessels up to 43,000 tonnes and 255 metres in length. Working with Portsmouth International Port, Portsmouth City Council, Knights Brown and John Berry Associates, Marbas are responsible for delivering the design of the altered and extended berth 2 and new mooring dolphin, all to be completed by March 2020.
